Christopher Michael designed wedding set with one pear shape Merelani mint garnet from Tanzania. We put the Gem in engagement with this custom designed piece. This fine grossular garnet is found in the tanzanites mines near Merelani which is the town most of the miners of tanzanite live. 1000's of times rarer than diamond this outstanding color of garnet is only sporadically available. The higher refractive index gives this garnet a diamond like brilliance. A fine garnet of high clarity and fine cutting quality. This ring has not been manufactured yet and can be made in any metal. It is priced as a set in 14 karat gold with approximately .75 carats of ideal cut diamonds with F color and Vs2-Si1 clarity. Picture is the computer render of this item. The loose stone is an actual picture of this fine merelani mint garnet which weighs 1.97 carats. This garnet has not been enhanced and has VS1 clarity. The alternative engagement ring was given a high polished finish and has a split shank that is adorned with the fine diamonds. The pear shaped mint garnet lies between the split in the shank and the point continues on past. There is a halo of diamonds that surrounds the merelani mint garnet and everything is prong set.
